Hy folks,

Is there somebody who can help me?
I've got a mitsubishi mini tractor (its 15hp 3cyl. Iseki engine diesel)
It won't start, checked air filter ,injector's, fuel filter, fuel pump seems o.k . It looks as if the engine got no compression .
I even tried to spray some starting aid in the air filter !!!
Can it be so worn out? only got 750ours
maybe i just have to replace the Iseki with a zetor engine:)

Hmm... Is there white smoke from the exhaust when you try to start it ??

750 hours!!!

Apologies for being faceutious but........and it is a bit BUT...............is there diesel in the tank?

Yes Tom,
I even checked the fuel and oil level
There are 750 hours on the clock, i've bought the tractor 2nd hand
maybe its 7500!! the clock on a mini tractor often runs only to 999,9 . But its still a nice looking tractor.

White smoke means that there IS fuel injected into the cylinder...

These Iseki diesels... are the same as Kubota i just remember... have you checked the glow plugs ?? Small (10-20 hp) 2 and 3 cylinder Kubota Diesels are known to be hard to start in winter....

Do you have a Diesel shop around? Diesel shops can measure the compression of your engine, and se if it's o.k...

Have you tried tow starting it? You could pull this with a car or pick up truck if you don't have access to another tractor to start it. With white smoke it sounds hopeful.

OR

Is there any possibility that the previous owner was a "me-can-ic" who did something to the injection pump timing?

It started this afternoon!!
My zetor dealer think's that the fuel-pump isn't working like it chould. He think's it doesn't give enough pressure on the injectors.he messured the compression on each cyl. that was O.k. he said. Tomorrow i am gone bring the pump to a diesel specialist. Seems that the japanese cars are better build than the tractors; thank's for the advize guys!!
Hey Renze tomorrow I am going to the brussels agri-fair .
I hope to find a lot of new zetor's there, maybe the new 6-pot zetor engine we all dream about!!!!:):)

Hey Bart, see if you can get any info about a possible joint venture of Zetor and an Asian compact tractor manufacturer- There are some strong rumors that we will get compacts, under Zetor name..
Or the two stage powershift 16/16 transmission in the Proxima, or the Proxima based orchard models..

Try over at www.tractorbynet.com they have a Mitsubishi/Satoh forum.

Hey Doc,we already have Zetor CUTs over here. AM Jawa used to sell the Kukje ones as Century, now they are called Zetor. www.kukje21.co.kr

O.K Woodbeef but it wasn't officially shown to the public...
I was told about this eraly this week, and was asked to keep it quiet as long as the official presentation wasn't there...
And you know what to do when your source of information asks you to keep it quiet..;)

It is unknown what else might come from this.. Kukje is license building JD models now... They might seek a closer co-operation, in marketing as well as production. The two companies fit perfectly together.

Thank's woodbeef Iwill check the forum!

Yesterday I went to the fair, was a little bit disapointed only 5 zetor 's on the fair 1 proxima with 12/12 gear box. My dealer told me that the 16/16 box will come out next year.He also told me that he heard something about a 5 or 6-speed box for the new big forterra. Six-pot is on its way!!! He knew nothing about a compaque or an orchard model.Slootsmid only have a contract for 2 years is this true renze!!
But I really liked the proxima and forterra(11441) models.
When I saw all the other brandt's NH john-deere steyr Case Ih its all a lookalike contest . maybe in about 10 years there will be only 2 or 3 brands( zetor and john-deere , NH )

1) .....Six-pot is on its way!!!

2) ......maybe in about 10 years there will be only 2 or 3 brands( zetor and john-deere , NH )

1) Renze- why does the question of six pot's [/]constantly come up? Are we talking about Tier II/III compliant six pots or what? Zetor make six pots today don't they?

2) Bart - I'm sure that Agco would have something to say about not being one of the brands left! ref MF,Fendt, Valtra.............

[glow=green,3]Tom in Ireland[/]

Hey hope you're right
I hope that in about 10 years we can choose a lot more then just the colour on or tractor!!
And you are right Agco is also doing well in belgium except for Valmet I don't see them around so much!

Tom: The ols ZTS story.

Zetor had to give the production and R&D to ZTS in 981 due to governmental decision.

Those old Crystal six pots dont comply to Euro 1.. let alone Euro 2...

The UR3 forterra 6.15 liter six pot is ready for production, and if you ask me for my PERSONAL opinion i say they will be introduced in the 2005 Forterra 3rd generation.
SAME announced that they stop building their engines in 2005 and will use Deutz engines, they have aquired a majority stake in Deutz engines, Deutz tractors is a full subsidiary of SLH.

That means Zetor is forced to swap engines, i think they will introduce them then.

That means Zetor is forced to swap engines, i think they will introduce them then.

So Zetor's will use Deutz engines......hmm.

The SDF group (Same Deutz Fahr) is providing engines (and transmissions) to Agco for Fendt and others in the Agco group (MF? Lamborghini Hurlimann and more).

The Polish "Crystal" www.traktor.pl also uses Deutz engines for their over 160HP tractors.

...and now Zetor will use Deutz engines too?????

It must be economics that is forcing tractor manufacturers down this route.

[glow=green,3]Tom in Ireland[/]

Tom,

1. I did not say they will use Deutz engines then. I said that the prototype Zetor six pot engine will be introduced in tractors then.
However a Deutz, Perkins or whatever engine is an option too...

2. Crystal Agropoland uses the Deutz BF6M1013 six pot, not a Fendt engine. In fact Fendt havent built any engines in 50 years. They just change the valve covers for ones with Fendt molded in it, but it is Deutz. Just like Fendt front axles, only the hub cap is Fendt, but it's a ZF axle.
Fendt is nothing than a screwdriver factory that takes ZF, MWM, Sauer Deutz parst from shelf and bolts it together. ;):p

Renze,

Re the new six pot Zetor engine[/]
Will Zetor buy this engine technology from Deutz (or someone else) or do they intend to make their own????

2. Crystal Agropoland Deutz engine[/]
You are right! I meant to say Deutz engines not Fendt engines! I changed my previous post to reflect this.

[glow=green,3]Tom in Ireland[/]

They intend to use two 5441 Proxima three pots as a six pot, because they have a Euro 2 engine, it is quite easy to mabufacture block, crank and camshaft for it. The rest of the parts is on shelf, the 6 pot fuel pump is on Motorpal shelf.

Hey Tom,

I've talked to a few gentlemen connected to Zetor over the years about this mystery 6 banger. They've all told me it exists, and was in developement prior to Zetor's dark days.

Ok so they have one that they can build, but why build it for only one tractor model? From what I'm hearing the present Forterra can not handle much more hp possibly only up to another 25 or so safely, and dependably for longevity. So that leaves Zetor with an awfully expensive engine,or they have to buy out ZTS or make another larger range on their own. I guess only time will tell.....
