They seem to refocus on the NA market... Zetor NA now covers not just the USA but Canada as well, and is looking to dense their dealer grid (or that is: put up new outposts ;) )
Anyways they have their act together in the 70-120hp market which means the models are ripened in farm practice in Europe, enough to send them out to remote areas of America with just a few dealers.

Most important improvements are:

I havent heard much lately, not even from the website of the development bureau of Zetor (which sometimes accidently post some bits of info) nor anything else.
About the speculation about the ZF transmission being used, ZF is buying clutch packs from BorgWarner, where Zetor can also shop, as they already have a good transmission factory.
Graziano of Italy also builds powershift clutchpacks, with which Zetor has a long lasting relationship as they began buying synchromesh rings from them in 1992.
The clues Zetor publiced, which could only lead to the ZF speculation, may be just a distraction and they are developing their own transmission with bought in components ? I cant imagine ZF can do it cheaper than Zetor, but i can imagine...
The long awaited powershuttle is now introduced at the Brno fair. They didnt stick with 2 powershift steps, but used the 2 range, 4 gears, 3 powershift transmission of the Forterra as base, and combines the full 24 gears with a powershuttle.

i hadnt checked the Agrostroj Pelhrimov website for some months so i did. I saw that it was under reconstruction, and that a Trac-lift logo was showed on the site. Did these companies join forces ?
I think its a great idea for them to join forces on the export markets. They both produce exceptional value for money, but just lack the proper dealer support. With 1 product name, marketing cost is cut in half...
I just think that Agrostroj Pelhrimov should change their trade name a bit, to make it pronouncable by foreigners ;)

chief of Zetor Trade, said in an interview with Profi 2/2005, that Zetor will introduce their orchard and vineyard tractors of 50-80 hp, a heavy duty compact of 45 hp and a 3 cylinder Proxima of 55 hp.
I think that 3 cylinder proxima is old news, as Zetor withdrew the 5441 from actual production, while it was mentioned on early sales literature.
He also mentioned a heavy range of 140-180 hp so the original intentions of 155 and 170 hp have moved, upward as well as downward in HP range.

I translated parts of it, word by word, using slovnik.cz translation.
It seems to say:

About the rumor about the Forterra range being lifted up to 160 hp making use of a new Zetor engine, Chief director of Zetor, ing. Vratislava Goje, says that we can welcome the new range of tractors within 2 years.
The new engine will also be fitted in the Forterra range.??? For the models of 120 hp model 11741, this will make it unncessary to fit the Italian Same engine...
When I went to pick up my parts order from the Zetor dealer he told me what I already suspected-he was giving up the Zetor franchise to stick with Motokov UK and Landini! We will now have Zetors imported by a new company-Zetor UK hurrah!!! Lets hope they make it work.
My ex-dealer told me he could still supply parts for me.The look on his face when I told him I could get my own parts from Slovakia and that I had got myself a parts catalogue was priceless;);)

I have some updates and more details about the new Proxima range.
The transmissions, apparently, are not UR3 Forterra based ones.
The basic version comes with the classic UR1 10 forward / 2 reverse gearbox as known from the Super series.
Another version is a 12/12 with shuttle reverser, maybe they have changed the reverse gear for an extra forward gear ??
the top version, not ready yet but coming, is 16/16 with two speed powershift.
I doubt if that rumor about the UR3 rear end has any truth.. i think i was misinformed:(:sneaky:
