Hello

Could anyone confirm the grade of oil for the hydraulics/transmission for a Zetor 7211. Am I right in thinking its a universal oil 10W30? and how much approx is required?

Thanks

90 wt oil is originally called for in the transmission/hydraulics but i have used regular tractor fluid (TDH or TCH) and havent had any problems thus far although i would recommend using 90 wt in the portals.

Check this link please, might be helpful.

I note that GL-4 is recommended.

Zetor specs also call for GL-4

Although many articles play down the possible damage if GL-5 is used, GL-4 is recommended for a reason.

In some situations GL-5 does not work well long term with some alloys of copper such as bronze bushes and syncros.
