aux hydraulic bank plumbing

G'day all I have just bought a new front end loader to fit onto my 8011 and I have done some digging around on this forum through various threads and have pieced together what I believe is the correct way to directly plumb the new hydraulic bank from the hydraulic pump so I thought I would put all the information here on one thread along with pictures to make it easy for everyone and to also confirm what I have pieced together.

From what I can gather I take oil from the outlet of the pump where it comes out here and that goes to the inlet of the aux hydraulic bank and then the outlet of the aux hydraulic comes back to that pipe that goes to the rear, this is correct right?

The only thing I can't make sense on is somewhere I read that the aux hydraulic bank has to have its pressure relief set to the tractor, ok so that makes sense but what pressure is that? And how do I tell what the aux bank is set to and how do I adjust it?

You are correct, the valve block you will be fitting is in the line before the tractors relief valve. Set, or buy a spool valve with a relief valve built in set at 2000 psi or 140 bar (14 Kpa).
You can check the pressure yourself with a suitable gauge screwed onto one of the valve outlets. don't forget to ensure the return pipe, probably labelled T on the valve block is connected or you may split the pump. Depending on the type of valve , the pressure can be adjusted by slackening a lock nut and turning the shaft with an allen key, or by removing a module on the inlet side of the valve block and again adjusting with an allen key as necessary

I will take a photo of the bank that came with the loader when I'm next at the farm and cross check what you say with what I have or else I need to buy another bank

If the bank hasn't got a PRV you can buy a stand alone one to fit into the delivery pressure pipe. its just a 4 inch square x 2inch thick unit with 3 pipe threaded holes and an adjusting screw

I do believe I know the ones you speak of we use them on the harvester at work to slow the speed of the conveyor belts

Found it ! The pipe to the right is the return to "tank", the item above it is the relief valve.
