    Happened to me two days ago, shut the tractor off after a short run and the starter motor was whirring away. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. I tapped the solenoid with a hammer and it's been working good since. Not very confidence inspiring though.

    I found the gearshifter on the floor very annoying at first but you get used to it pretty quick, doesn't bother me at all anymore.

    On my 5340 the brakes lock up with very little pressure on the brake pedal. It's almost impossible not to lock them up so I either plan my stops well ahead of time or skid to a stop. Any ideas?

    My 5340 will run great for a while,sometimes for hours and then it will suddenly stop (usually somewhere inconvenient 69) ) Sometimes it starts right up again and sometimes it takes a lot of cranking and priming and sometimes I just have to go away and start it up later which it usually does...

    My 5340 needs to have the clutch pushed all the way in and the PTO clutch lever(yellow handle) disengaged(pulled up) as well. The switch under the PTO clutch lever occasionaly sticks so I have to poke at it it to get it to pop up.

    I'm having similar issues with my 5340, Gas line anti-freeze helps but doesn't eliminate the problem. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread ;) good luck

    If it has wet sleeves over-heating can apparently damage the o-rings and cause coolant to leak into the crankcase. (not much fun to fix :( ) look out for coolant in the oil.

    ...and I used the 1.5mm head gaskets. The manual said to go with the 1.5's if I wasn't sure.
