Hi Renze,

Given the number of times that I have seen questions on the forum posted re tractor manuals , I think that it would be a good idea to have a section devoted to FAQ 's e.g. "Where can I find a manual for my 8011?"

We could also have sections on items such as hydrualics, clutches, brakes etc. What do you think?

Yes i've been thinking about that. But i am not sure how to carry out this idea, do you have any suggestions about what will work out best ??

Renze,

For a FAQ section to work well, I believe that you as Webmaster should be the only one allowed to post content to it as otherwise it would escalate out of control. Submissions would be e-mailed to you.

My inititial thought would be to set up a seperate section under Tractor Forum as follows:
Tractor Forum/Tractor Forum
Tractor Forum/Farm Talk
Tractor Forum/FAQ

Under FAQ, have the following sections. The list can be added to as new topics of interest arise:

Tractor Forum/FAQ/Tractor manuals - https://zetorworld.com/index.php?threads/zetor-tractor-manuals.5393/
Tractor Forum/FAQ/Model numbers
Tractor Forum/FAQ/Brakes and seals
Tractor Forum/FAQ/Hydraulics
Tractor Forum/FAQ/Projects
Tractor Forum/FAQ/Tricky problems and solutions

So for instance, you might have:
  • Tractor Forum/FAQ/Brakes and seals/<a pointer to suppliers of good quality brakes and seals for Zetor tractors>[/]
  • Tractor Forum/FAQ/Projects/Home made hydraulically operated log splitter
The abover are given as potential examples. What do you think?

ok i'll give it a try. Tom, go ahead in the new section

just moved that topic... ;)

No it didnt develop...
I rolled through school doing Zetorworld instead of homework, but now i have a job that takes what i've got... Designing wheel loaders at a small dutch specialist firm. So when i'm at a computer in my spare time, i just fool around and not get any work done as i'm focusing on computer screens 8 hrs a day.

Instead, ive put up a site search feature. Because this brought up the subject, i've made the subject "sticky" so it stays on top. Its as effective as a FAQ :)

The search function is great, I do not know much about computers, just learning as I use them, so thought it was somthing I did not know how to use.
A degree in Zetorworld has stood you in good stead for your career obviously!!!

Hi Renze, i was just reading a particularly useful thread on fixing the brakes/seals on a Zetor , when i thought .....

if only there was some way to flag or save this thread so i can refer back to it in 6 months when i have my back end apart.

up until now i have been printing off the "good stuff" and putting it in a folder, but i am out of town for the next two weeks, so that method will not work :(

One for you to ponder :)
Steve

Some years later...
We have a new FAQ section how you can find some Zetor relevant stuff next months and years. :)
