On Agriland.ie theres word about a Crystal HD coming this autumn. Will this be the answer to MF Dynashift, new Holland rangecommand and Deeres DirectDrive, the thing needed to keep dealers aboard ?

A rumor: McHale plant sales, importer for Ireland, has fired their Zetor sales coordinator and stopped advertising Zetor early 2018.

By appointing McHale (importer of Komatsu earthmoving) as importer, did they make the same strategic mistake as by appointing Pols (importer of greencare equipment) in the Netherlands a few years ago ? In Holland they are back with their previous importer but damage has been done by dealers abandoning ship. The field of business are simply not comparable, Ag is different to plant and greencare sales in Europe.

Unfortunately it's not a rumour Renze, I posted this since March something was wrong in Ireland.

And they make it sound so wonderful for the future.

Not exactly fired more like he was surplus to requirement, sure if they have nothing for him to sell.

Zetors own press release says updated Forterra HD in August. I think a journalist misread this.

Anyways, what else would they change on the HD compared to the HSX ? The gearbox used to be identical so this is interesting. Will they now put an 8.5 ton axle in it like a HD tractor should ?

Intteresting is that they released new operators manuals for the Major CL and HS, with a photo on it with the old styling on it.

I guess they cannot sell more tractors with Pininfarina styling (form follows function on a working machine, so artistic shit that distracts from function isnt going to work) so its not worth paying the royalties.
New zetor Forterra and Crystal are looking better than ever, they have found design clues to set them apart from the rest and maintain a familiar face.

News today McHale's are gone out of Zetor.

Dealer relationships with that importer left an awful lot to be desired. Prices went mad in their time.
What happens to Zetor in Ireland now ?

According to Zetor UK they will be in charge of sales, service, parts and warranty in Ireland from now on.

Zetor Ireland is gone now and is only there in name, their salesman has moved to the UK, they also will be at ploughing with a re appointed pervious Zetor dealer. (Hopefully)
