    New Loader

We have had a bit of luck today and have finally managed to find a Tanco 978 loader boom with a Quick attatch coupling to fit the Tanco brackets on our 6748.We have an old 868 loader on the tractor at present which struggles to lift heavy round bales-the design is not quite right for it to work...

    9641 forterra

Nice picture, looks a bit like Dartmoor/Exmoor by the background. I agree there is not much discussion about newer models.Probably because people only find their way here when they are looking to solve a problem or more usually, they have just bought their first Zetor and don't know how to operate...

    Brake failure Model 5211

The problem I found is that when they fail it is usually down to water in the brake fluid from the externally mounted reservoir.By then it is too late to save the cylinders.I put the cap off an aerosol spray can over the top of my reservoir cap and it keeps the water out.I did the same with the...

    loader subframe (project diary)

The loader project is looking great! When you finish it and give it a coat of Quickie satin black it will be a really smart outfit.

    A story about a contractor

Interesting.I think there are some contractors who have to have the latest kit even if it is way too big for them.A guy near me has just replaced his trailed forager with a second hand Class Jaguar self propelled model. All very impressive but he does not seem to be getting any extra work and it...

Zetor injector pumps can be noisy with no ill effects;also check the air compressor isn't running.

    6211 lift problems

OK we'll start with the easiest first...Have you got the priority selector valve set to give most of the power to the lift arms?(It's a small lever on the cab rear deck near the other hydraulic controls)On my older tractor if you point the lever to the right when sitting in the seat you get...

    Zetor 7011 tractor

2500 maximum should by you a very tidy 7011.2WD Zetors are not worth nearly as much as a 4WD version so you should be able to pick up a bargain!

    Clutch / Gear problem

Try adjusting the clutch first. It is a complicated matter to get the main clutch and the pto clutch both adjusted because of all the fiddling about with the clevices and threaded rods underneath the tractor. If you can get the main clutch adjusted so that there is about an inch of freeplay at the...

Hydraulic question - Crystalman probably knows the answer to this

You are probably right about that Tom.We took all the plumbing off our 135 when we got the Zetor.I know that it involved several trips to a Vapormatic stockist to get the bolt on valves and taps necessary to make it work.It is also harder if like us you didn't have a Multi Power transmission...

    8145

You may have to lift up the panel in the floor of the cab to clean all the crud off the top of the gearbox. Then you will be able to see the linkage coming out off the top of the gearbox and lubricate the pivots.Glad you like the tractor I think they are excellent too. They certainly seem to grip...

Hydraulic question - Crystalman probably knows the answer to this

You don't log on for a few days (Sorry-Gran is in hospital)and then you get mentioned in dispatches! I think you have figured it out for yourself by now but there are several takeoff points on the MF topcover without resorting to the fillercap bodge method! You can also unbolt the square plates...

looking for small 4wd zetor maybe 3045

Why the ??? face Tom? Also are they the main UK distributors now or has Zetor UK moved nearby by coincidence?

    zetor 7211 problems

The diff lock should disengage by itself when you are through the slippery patch and you get proper grip. You may have to steer to the left and right to release the load on the diff or stop and reverse if this fails.

    6245 loader question

In reply to Rob, this question comes up regularly so it is in the forum archives. There should also be a diagram in the gallery that Tom drew up to help you.
