I want to check the oil hydraulic oil filters on the Zetor 8011. Will the hydraulic oil run out if I open the filter housing? There is one single filter, and two filters in one housing that are locked with a clip.

The steering on my 8011 has a plug that looks to me as a fill plug. There is no oil in it. I cannot find any info in the owners manual. Should there be oil in there, and what kind ? (The reservoir has 8 liter ATF/automatic transmission fluid in it and the steering assist still works good)

Is the starter cranking the engine slower than it used to? If so, put the handle for the hydraulic pump and PTO in neutral to exclude a problem in the hydraulics or PTO. Does it have white or black smoke?

The noise definitely comes from within the engine. You can hear the noise clearly with the oil filler cap removed. Do other 8011 have the same? Did some one ever listen to the engine through the oil filler tube? Maybe it is the timing gears that cause the high pitched noise, but it worries me.
