I've recently purchased an 88' 5211 from a farmer who passed away. Unfortunately, the widow is 'tape measure' challenged and can't figure out the width of the tractor so I can determine if my trailer is wide enough to fit the tractor. The drive is several hundred miles, so I don't want to get there and have to turn around empty handed. Any one out there know the max width of this tractor?
Also, this tractor doesn't have a ROPS system. Does anyone know where I can buy one (prefereably in the U.S.)? I've searched the 'net and can't seem to find one.
search for hercules ROPS or visit www.tractorbynet.com its a website for the North American hobby farmers and landscapers, there are aftermarket ROPS manufacturers advertising allmost every week on the forum
My trailer is 5'6" wide. I finally had someone else down by the tractor go and measure it and it turns out it's right around 6' wide. Luckily, I found a transport service that will be able to move it for me at a pretty low cost. Since I'm pretty handy with a wrench, I doubt I'll have to haul it to a repair shop very often. If I do, I"ll have to see about getting a larger trailer.
I've checked out the Hercules site and they don't list anything specifically for the Zetor. I'll check out the other website and see what they have listed.
