Hood lining material

Just wondering if the hood lining heat proofing on the underside of the hood would be asbestos on a 78/79 Zetor 5911 its half hanging off and getting in the way a bit and wondering if I need to be careful handling it cheers

As far as i can remeber non of the dosen or so Zetors that i`v wiorked on had any lining, so i think yours is someting aftermaked and it is no way to tell if it is aspestos or not. However it is prudent to protekt airways anyhow, a fiberglass based compund is not heltgiving eider.
