This knob that is inside the rubber sleeve on the front wheels on my 5745 pinches the rubber cuffs and makes holes in them when I turn the steering wheel all the way over to one of the sides.
Does anyone know if this is the original stopper or something that was welded on at some point? And maybe have tips on how to fix the problem.
There's a stop there, but yours looks a bit different; it might have been modified at some point. There's usually nothing else welded to the ring that holds the seal; it's not actually sturdy enough for that, I'd say.

My father had a 3545 that I drove a lot when I grow up. I remember we did some reparing on the front wheel drev a coulpe times, but I can't remeber this problem with the rubber cuffs.
On the drawing you postet; it looks like the stoppers are on the front side, mine are on the back side of the front axle.
