  4. Need help with 5211 Brakes

I think you must remember to slacken the handbrake bands as these 'clamp' around the brake drum that you're trying to pull out. as said bleed valves are next to pipe entries into hubs but you cannot see them if you have a cab in the way. poke your fingers into the portal around the brake pipe...
  5. Zetor 6441 top link on 3pt question

me too! I also had to shave (grind) the edges off a new top link to get it to fit the 6711. Maybe Zetors are just a tight fit?

  7. What position, position lever for hedgecutter?

{:-( Sorry. yes. going from the right rear wheel inwards, lever 1 raises/ lowers the 3pl , lever 2 is used to operate ram on buckrake etc . It is this lever that needs to be locked forward to allow flow and return to controls on H-Cutter. (lever 3 is d-m-p. (labelled :) )) Is this how it should...
  8. What position, position lever for hedgecutter?

Thanks guys Yes, you are right again Aaron :) I meant the lever [b]closest to the seat[/] needs to be locked forward (to give me feed and return to spool valves?).
  9. missing bolt

Yes it does! but no circlip. On closer scrutiny i can just see the edge of the groove for the circlip to sit in. Thanks Aaron Another problem solved by zetorworld ;)
  10. missing bolt

I have just noticed {:-( a missing bolt (circled in red) from the rear of the 6711 and i think it may be something to do with adjustment of some hydraulic setup. Does anyone know if this is a 'special' bolt or a bog standard M? x?mm type bolt and if so what size is should be? thanks.
  11. What position, position lever for hedgecutter?

When using a hedgecutter (bomford farmtrim, old and heavy) should the lever under the seat be in? P, M or S(D). Since I've had the 6711 the 3 position lever under the seat has been seized in M - mixed, but while it was apart last week I managed to get it moving. Ive got my head around the...

  13. 6711 started smoking - SOLVED!

AHA!! After fixing the brakes last week decided to do a spot of verge and hedge trimming. After 100m of verge it was getting a bit smoky in the cab :'( so stopped to investigate. All the smoke was coming from the exhaust u bend and there was a lovely coating of oil all over the block just...
  14. another brake question

Update: Eventually my new brake pipe arrived, 4 weeks after ordering (well to be honest 3 1/2 weeks waiting for one dealer, then cancelled and ordered from someone else which arrived within 48hrs!) All went together easily and lined up so i guess it was the correct side cylinder. a couple of...
  15. Zetor model numbers?

cheers Renze. so what about the 47, 57, 67 etc? My 6711 has a Alexander Duncan cab. would these have gone from the Zetor factory/ importers to the Duncan factory and then sold with cab? or would someone have bought a 6711 and then bought a cab?

  17. Zetor model numbers?

I was just wondering is there any logic to, or information to be gained from model numbers? e.g. 6711, 6911 I think that 11 and 18 as the last two indicate 2wd and 4wd but what about 40 , 45 etc? ???
  18. another brake question

well it faces the rear of the tractor and is behind the brake pipe connection which sort of makes sense. the uninterfered with LH side also faces rear so is the opposite of the new one which is good. i hope ;)
  19. another brake question

Thanks Mike, if only you'd posted a little earlier. >:-) portal is now back on, just waiting for a new brake pipe. 24. 8111 lights burn out ignation switch

Sounds like a direct short. but the fuse should blow first? are the correct size fuses in the fusebox? no bent nails/ cigarette paper etc! if it does it on both main and dim i would suspect the rear or side lights or cables going to them (seeing as there are separate wires to main and dim lamps...
  25. Jacking point 6711

This may be one of the daftest questions posted {:-( but are there proper jacking points to get the ass end in the air of my 6711 (duncan cab)? Time to attack the brakes between rainclouds. I will be using a trolley jack and i dont want to punch a hole in anything. I'm guessing any sensible...
  26. 7211 slave brake cylinder

not wishing to hijack this post, but just about to attack my 6711 with the same problem. Do I need to drain the oil from the final gear portal before removing it or is it effectively a sealed unit? cheers
