  1. Increase Horsepower on 5011. How to turn up injection pump?

That should have been "...my 3340". ;D
  2. Increase Horsepower on 5011. How to turn up injection pump?

I did it on my 3411 and it was real easy. If I remember correctly, this is how to do it. Take the end cap off the Motorpal (10mm wrench), the you will see screws held in place with locknuts. Loosen the locknut on the top screw and turn the screw clockwise about 1 turn. That gives you more...
  3. zetor 8441 timing

So you had to take it apart and start over? Glad you got it!
  4. Biogas?

Here in Vermont, USA, a number of farmers convert cow manure into electricity and sell it to the power company. The utility company markets the electricity as "Cow Power", which consumers can buy at a slightly higher rate. It's very popular with environmentalists that are opposed to fossil...
  5. clutch 3320

Steve, The rod should go thru some linkages and then to engage/disengage the clutch. Doug
  6. Another hydraulic issue

Thanks Aaron, Everything seems to be ok. Oil level is the same, oil looks good in both the tractor and the rake. I just got nervous because I hadn't ever noticed the oil smell before. Then things got out of control when the oil looked aerated. Getting good news every now and again is a good...
  7. Another hydraulic issue

Tractor is a 3340 and this just started a couple days ago when I was raking hay. I use one hydraulic line to raise / lower the rake. After a about two hours of raking, I started to smell oil every time lowered the rake. (I allow the rake to 'float' down.) I can't find any leaks and the bottom...
  8. Need a new alternator for zetor 3340

Are you sure it's the alternator and not the integrated voltage regulator? The regulator on my 3340 went out last year and the local starter/alternator shop fixed it immediately. I don't remember the price but it was in the $75 range I think.
  9. 8540 Data

Check out your model on TractorData.com. It will probably have the info.
  10. 5211 just stopped

I think the battery +12v cable goes directly to the starter. check the connection at the starter.
  11. steering oil 8011

I don't know, but mixing oil types is never a good idea.
  12. purchasing 7745

Hello and welcome. You say the tractor makes a 'noise' when in reverse. Could you give more detail? What does the noise sound like? Clunking, banging, screaming, singing off key ;D etc... If you do buy the tractor, keep this site handy. The guys here are great at helping with any problems...
  13. 11741-4c PROBLEMS

I think some connection is suspicious, probably close to the battery. Have you checked the ground connections, both at the battery and the frame?
  14. Zetor 3320 VERY new Newbie How do I start this thing?

Oh, don't forget to pull the key out when you're done!
  15. Zetor 3320 VERY new Newbie How do I start this thing?

A couple other things... push the throttle lever all the way up when you are starting. After it starts, pull the lever down to get the engine speed you want. To stop it, pull the throttle lever all the way down. I had all the same questions on my 3340!
  16. Zetor 4340 Hydraulic Fluid Leak in Tranny

Are you sure the hole is in the transmission and not in the clutch housing? I don't think I'd plug it. It's probably just as you're thinking and is there to keep fluid from building up on the clutch.
  17. 3320 clutch adjustment

I don't think there's much to adjust. It's a hydraulic clutch mechanism that uses fluid from the brake reservoir. There's a little bit of adjustment at the clutch pedal and nothing else. Oh, make sure to grease the shaft going in to the clutch itself. A zerk fitting is 'hiding' down there...
  18. heater and radio not working zetor 7441

I don't have a radio, but once the heater in my 3340 stopped. I checked the fuses and they were all ok. It turned out to be a loose connection behind the fan switch in the overhead. When I lowered overhead cover, the fan would go on and off. After I tightened the loose connection, the fan...
  19. 4718 Engine Problems

There are a lot of 3 cylinder 45hp Zetors. To get started, look at tractordata.com Here's the url http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/index.html
  20. 3340 Front Axle problem?

Thanks, I'll jack it up and check it out. It may be obvious but I'll ask anyway... How do I tell if it's wheel bearings or axle pivots? Oh, it's a Carraro axle.
  21. 3340 Front Axle problem?

I just noticed the right front wheel on my 3340 is leaning! I'd guess the top of the tire is tilted out 2 cm and the bottom is tilted in 2cm. (The left wheel is straight up and down.) The wheel doesn't wobble and seems to function ok. I don't know how long this condition has existed. Any...
  22. Zetor 3320 block heater location

My 3340 block heater connection is on the left side just in front of the cab (near the back of the motor). About 1/2 way between the top and bottom of the motor.
  23. Just bought a Zetor, and I need help.

Congratulations on your purchase. What model Zetor is it?
  24. Any experience with starter motor with reduction gear?

Fordson, Does your tractor have a 'rain cap' on the exhaust pipe to keep rain and snow from going down into the exhaust and motor? Just wondering.
  25. Comfort of ride

I have a 3340. No problems with the seat and ride. Seat is adjustable both forward / backward and spring tension for your weight. Yes the tractor bounces on rough terrain -- but it's a tractor, not a luxury car. ;)
  26. Flail mower to suit a 6245

The 4 footer will definitely run with less power -- but it's tprobably narrower than your tractor tires. Unless the mower is offset it will be difficult to mow around the outside of your field. I have a 4 foot brush mower and it's a real pain to clean up around my hay field.
  27. 8441 having problem with adjusting the swaybar on three point hitch.

If you have torches (or maybe even a Mapp torch), try heating it up and then turning it. That usually works when nothing else will. Be careful though and don't burn up the tractor! Just a curiosity question: How could you put the arm in a shop vice without removing it?
  28. 5245 glass sediment bowl

I don't think super glue will work. It will dissolve very quickly. If you can get the bowl clean enough, rough up the surface around the crack and try epoxy. It might work until you can get a new bowl.
  29. kerosene in diesel

Here is Vermont, USA some guys mix up to 50% kerosene in their diesel in the winter and call it 'winter mix'. We also have an anti-gel diesel additive for winter. Not too expensive and it works real well. I think the mix ratio is 32 oz / 100 gallons of diesel ( 1/400 ). Good luck!
