  1. question Zetor 7245 PTO Hydraulic selector not working

The PTO will turn, even with lever in the fully forward position, due to oil viscosity etc. Try stopping it with a stick - it will stop easily if this is the case. If it is actually engaged then you'll have to investigate further.
  2. 7045 Power steering leak

I have two symptoms:- 1 I am losing power steering fluid - there is a slight weep on the cylinder, but I am losing more than that. 2 My sump level is rising. From this I deduce that the power steering pump is leaking into the timing case & hence the sump? Therefore I would appreciate help on...
  3. question Zetor 7045 with oil leakage

Cheers, I'm just off to take a stab at it now - seat is a bit rickety so needs looking at anyway:D OK - I reckon the leak is coming from the connector screwed into the hydraulic distributor. Oil seems to be oozing out below the banjo where this connector is threaded into the distributor. It is...
  4. question Zetor 7045 with oil leakage

Been using my 7045 with an old Twose back actor on it for the last month or two. When I connected it, the quick connect moved sideways quite a bit, showing that the pipe & banjo onto the top of the hydraulic cover is loose. (There is no plate locating the two Q/C s on this both just poke out at...
  5. Noisy Gearbox 7045

It's definitely in 2wd (& 540 on the PTO) - I had to pull apart the linkage for 4wd in the winter & adjust the angles to actually get in & out of 4wd. Also you can quite clearly feel the front wheels pulling when in 4wd & this is absent.
  6. Noisy Gearbox 7045

When I bought the tractor last autumn, I knew the front prop needed a U/J & also that first gear was noisy - both the seller & I thought it sounded like a chipped or missing tooth. OK - back in the winter I had to drain the transmission oil, to replace the U/J on the drop box. I cleaned the mag...
  7. 7045 Air pressure sensor; hydraulic return

Trouble is the gearbox cover is under the cab floor? Only small hole for dipstick pillar & between gearlevers where a previous owner has cut away a section (access to the detents I presume). I'll have a good go at unscrewing the pillar because today (hurray!) I finally got all the electrics...
  8. 7045 Air pressure sensor; hydraulic return

Thanks for that - I'll have a go at finding the sensor tomorrow if this wind & rain ever stop! I'll have a go at unscrewing the dipstick pillar too - that seems to be the easiest way to get a return port sorted.
  9. 7045 Air pressure sensor; hydraulic return

Finally got all the 7045 electrics & guages working apart from indicators (not relevant for me - I'm never on the road), PTO light & air pressure guage. I can't see where the air pressure sensor is - on the parts diagram it looks to be at the rear of the air tank, but I can't identify it, could...
  10. 7045 Front prop shaft

Continuing to work through my 7045... I need to replace the U/J at the rear of the front propshaft (cardanshaft? for Europeans?). I can see that the front U/J carrier bolts up to the front diff with 4 bolts as per usual: I can't see how the rear U/J carrier releases. My parts manual is a bit...
  11. 7045 Unknown fluid reservoir? Hydraulic return; Bleeding fuel.

Thanks for that - I'll check out the damper & bleed points & have a look for a suitable plug for the return hydraulic oil. Can you point me at any pictures of the relevant areas? Today after much poring over the wiring diagram & testing a multitude of cut wires & miscellaneous bits of house wire...
  12. 7045 Unknown fluid reservoir? Hydraulic return; Bleeding fuel.

Just got a 7045 to replace my burnt out({:-() UTB. Can make sense of most things (though struggling to get the dashboard lights/guages working - I think I'm getting there!) except I found what looks like an extra brake fluid reservoir next to the air cleaner in front of the rad. The lid says...
  13. Rear digger

Matthew, I'm not as far west as you - I live near Pontarddulais. I've now got 25 acres of dead flat marsh (not a stone onm the place so the diff should be safe) plus 2 1/2 acres of sloping fields, which we've had for a while. There's over 2500 yards of wide drains saparating the fields of the...
  14. Rear digger

I've just got an old Twose back actor digger that I intend to use for ditching on my new 25 acres of marsh. i.e. no heavy digging it's all peat & soft clay. It runs from tractor hydraulics (no pump or tank) & probably weighs around 1/2 - 3/4 ton. Good length on the dipper & boom which look to...
