  1. 6745 wiring fire

The wire to the generator from the voltage regulator that carries the power from the battery has burned out. Fortunately nothing caught fire. The generator has not been working for a while and I have been charging the battery. The heat seems to have been greater near the generator. It's easy to...
  2. 12045 starter fault

When I was buying my 12045 it wouldn't start. The owner brought an auto electrician out. He took the starter off and it checked out ok. He replaced the unit under the floor that gives the 24 volt for the start. The tractor has battery cut outs fitted and if you leave them on the batteries drain...
  3. 12045 tyres

The Australian 12045 had 14.9/28 front tyres and 23.1/34 rears. Nearly all tractors in Australia over 100hp used those rear tyres, made by the Australian tyre company Olympic. Now that company has closed, the 23.1/34 is hard to find and expensive. The tyre moulds from Olympic were sold to...

It is a two owner tractor and has been well cared for mechanically but needs paint because it was stored outside. Zetor has had a long history in Australia...
  6. 12045 brakes

I have had a 6745 since 1976 and it has given splendid service. I have recently bought an older 12045. It has no brakes which didn't trouble the previous owner in his flat wheatfields. I presume it will be necessary to dismantle the axles and I also presume to axle bolts will require heat.
