  1. liquid ballast in tires

My brain is not working right this morning. It is Rim Guard not Tire Guard.
  2. liquid ballast in tires

The non corrosive ballast is sold under the name Tire Guard here in Ohio, USA. It is BEET JUICE. Weighs 11pounds per gallon and is good to -35F. Here in the US they have been using beet juice on roads for snow/ice control. My tire guy said it is more expensive than calcium, but he is going to...
  3. 6341 Diff lock

thank you. taking the seat and cab bottom out is a tough job.
  4. liquid ballast in tires

I will try to find out the trade name of the non corrosive liquid. It is supposed to have about the same weight as calcium chloride.
  5. liquid ballast in tires

calcium chloride I think. If I was doing it now I would check the new stuff that will not ruin the wheel if you get a leak. George
  6. 6341 Diff lock

The owners manual does not say anything about that. The 4WD works fine winter or summer. It may have so much mud on it that it can not work. When I get time I will take the bottom out of the cab and check it out. Thanks George
  7. liquid ballast in tires

I have 800 pounds of calcium in each 16.9-34 on my 6341 with tubes. There is a new material available now that will not eat up the rims. George
  8. 6341 Diff lock

Thanks Mike It has about a ton of mud on it now. when spring gets here I'll take a look at it. My biggest complaint about these tractors is that they were not designed to operate in mud. In winter the parking brakes,4WD cylinder, PTO lever all freeze up. George
  9. 6341 Diff lock

My differential lock quit working. I have air pressure to it. Any suggestions for repair will be welcome. George
  10. PTO and BRAKE CYLINDERS

Don't know about the PTO. for the brakes, take bottom out of cab and you will have easy access to the brake cylinders. You don't have to take the rear wheels off like Zetor told me. Make sure you get the new brand of cylinders-frankov, or something like that.
  11. 6341 fuses

the fuses should all be right there. I was into the fuse panel on my 6341 to put more lights on it, I don't think there is any other fuses. does everything else work-flashers, brake lights etc.
  12. Handbrake on 7245

I had a similar problem with my 6341. I had the bottom out of the cab to work on the brakes and was able to fix the parking brake with no problem.
  13. Oils to be used in 6341 super?

The heater works good on mine, but several years ago the temperature control broke. There is a piece of plastic inside that the control cables hook to, and it broke. You have to open the top of the cab to see it. I think the term "super" just indicates changes from the previous model. Just make...
  14. Oils to be used in 6341 super?

I work mine belly deep in mud sometimes in winter, feeding cattle. I have had the air cylinder that engages the FWD get covered in mud and freeze also.
  15. Oils to be used in 6341 super?

I also put a heavier gauge battery cable on, it is a long that I thought was to light.
  16. Oils to be used in 6341 super?

Marc I also had a problem with the battery disconnect after a couple of years. Tractor got to where it did not crank well in winter, I traced it to the disconnect, so I by passed it. I have told you some of things to watch out for, but it would take a page to tell all the good points.
  17. Oils to be used in 6341 super?

I have an '03 6341 purchased new. Check right away if you have 85/90W gear oil in the HYD system. Mine was shipped that way. Took delivery in the summer and ran it awhile, but changed to FORD/NH 134 before winter. We can get well below 0 degree F here in SW Ohio. I use 15W40 in summer,15W30 in...
  18. Loader problems

Check fluid hydraulic fluid level. If it is ok think about when hyd filter was changed. My 2003 6341 was delivered with 85W90 gear oil in the hyd system. I knew that wouldn't work in 0 Degree F weather so I changed it to hyd fluid. That may not apply to yours. Good luck
  19. 3340 oil filter

I have used John Deere filters on my 6341
  20. 6341 AC

  21. 6341 AC

I have a 2003 6341, purchased new. I have replaced the AC compressor mounting bracket two times. Now the compressor clutch has gone out. Baling hay in 90+ degree F weather is rough. Has anyone had this problem. Is the clutch a do it yourself job? Petr if you see this, what could make the bracket...

If you are in cold weather-0 degree F or below put in as much battery as you can.
  23. Help Clutch AND Brakes have Failed

had the same problems with 2003 6341. if the clutch system is not leaking, you can clamp off the rubber brake lines so you can use the tractor. over time i had to replace both clutch cylinders and the brake cylinders on the differentials. make sure you get the new brand of replacement parts...
  24. fluid from Bell housing-no clutch

William The slave cylinder on the 6341 is close to the bellhousing. Could it be that a hose close to the bell is leaking and letting the fluid squirt over to and run down the bell. If you lose pressure to the clutch it would be one or both cylinders or a leaking line. George
  25. fluid from Bell housing-no clutch

William There should not be any direct connection from the clutch cylinder system to the inside of the bellhousing. possibly when you push the clutch it could put pressure on the input shaft for the transmission, which could leak if the seal is bad. Are you sure it is brake fluid leaking out? George
  26. fluid from Bell housing-no clutch

William The clutch cylinders on my 6341 are both outside the bellhousing. George Southwest Ohio USA
  27. fluid from Bell housing-no clutch

Had the slave cylinder go out on my 6341 the first winter I had it. The next winter the clutch master cylinder went out. Sounds just like your problem now. The company sent me the parts to fix the problems. On some model of Zetors the seals in clutch and brake systems would not tolerate cold...
  28. 6341 brakes

Petr-Thank you for the brake cylinders you sent for my 6341. Regardless of what you are told, you can change them without taking the wheels off. I removed the bottom of the cab and had easy access. While I was working on it, I fixed the parking brake which was frozen. The pivot point for the...
  29. 6320 clutch

I have a 2003 6341. Had clutch and brake leaks. The clutch will go before the brakes because the outlet line for the clutch is above the line for the brakes.
