    Did you change the slave cylinder at the same time? If so did you use the correct part number as the cylinders are self adjusting & the later cylinders had more "Free play" which will give you more pedal travel. It is also possible the old cylinder had partially siezed, giving less pedal travel

    Sounds very much like the T/A pack slipping in low with the whining noise you describe, have you tried it in high TA?

    You will have to remove the top cover to replace the shaft as it is fitted from inside. Do not move the tractor untill you have removed the top cover & retrieved the broken lever from the end of the shaft, if it drops down into the gearbox it can do damage!

    Gary don't adjust the clutch fingers through the side plate in a attempt to get the clutch to take up earlier in the travel as the self adjust will put you back in the same place. Do as Renze suggests and shorten the clutch master cylinder pushrod a little, this will give you a lower take up on...
