  3. 3320 loss of power

Renze (I belive) has a very good post on how to test the left pump and injection pump. If you know how try and use the search function. Search on "Lift Pump" or "fuel Pump". You should find what you need. All that said, if its the lift pump (fuel pump), if you can use the primer pump and get...
  4. PTO problems

I have what I hope isn't dumb.. Does this explain why I can't stop PTO before engagement? Meaning I can't pull on lever and expect PTO to engage properly. This is while running. The PTO brake is made to operate from OFF, then engage PTO, then start, then release brake, is this correct...
  5. 3320 loss of power

ALso the fuel pump could be the problem. This is very easy to replace. Doug
  6. Wiring Short??

I have 3340 that flakes out. Lights go on and off , cab light goes off when I hit brakes ( this is new) Cab light doesn't come on. I hit the area where key is and 99% of the time it works. This includes not starting. I don't have a short. So my suggestion might be manure ;) but it sure can't...
  7. Changing tires sizes

According to the old tractor guy (he is ancient and has been ancient for decades) putting on 16.9x28 will add better than 3 inches to the height. I don't want higher I want wider. also, I do have 14.9 x 28 on back now, not 13.9 (oops). They will clear fenders just fine, I don't have wrap...
  8. Changing tires sizes

I have a 3340 and have 13.9 x 28 on back and 9.5 x 24 on front. I would like to go to 16.9 x 28 on back and keep the fron the same. According to my owners manual this is a standard tire combination. Do I have worry about any linkage issues in final drive , will I be throwing anyting out of...

  12. Height

I have a question. Why is the cab platform higher on many models than the open station platform. I know some of it has to do with vision. However, does 5 inches or so make that much of a difference? I would like a lower platform for a cab model. Doug
  13. 3320 will not start

Ok here is one for the books... I traced my problem to starter solenoid. I ordered one from dealer. I recieved and it had a cracked plastic housing. So, I mess with my old one and see if I can remove plastice housing. Let me say you can't (well you probaby could but it would be hard) and I...
  14. Radio for 3340

My tractor has a cab and no factory radio. I do have an old fender radio rigged. I would love to put a factory or equal radio in. Does anybody have any suggestions? 16. Electrical problem 8540

Personally for me, I would replace it. I have seen batteries do wierd and bad things once damaged in my 20+ years as an electronics technician. It is cheap insurance to have it replaced then have something bad happen to the tractor. Acid can cause lots of damage in a short amount of time. Just...

  21. 5245 Power Loss

Fuel cap is an excellent suggestion to check. Also, I have a 3340 and I don't know if your set-up the same. However, my lift pump will stick sometimes ( I need to order a new one). This will cause my tactor to lose power and sometimes stall. Sometimes it will start right back up and other times...
  22. Parts Online

I need to order some parts for my 3340. I was wondering if anybody has had good or bad experience with any specific vendors. SSB tractor has what I need for 50.00 less than dealer. I don't have my tractor work done at my dealer so its not a case of not supporting them. Anybody care to comment...

A follow-up question. Is it ok to use John Deere Hyguard hydraulic oil in here. I have some left from a previous JD I owned. Edit here : Just found this listed as applications on JD website "Zetor: OT-H, GL-4" I don't know what those are but figured I would just put that out there. Doug...

  27. 3340 Hydraulic question

I have used the search function on the forums and did not find exactly what I was looking for, normally I do. Thats why you don't hear from me much. I have had various hydraulic leaks (nothing major), mostly lose connections. Well my loader is starting to "studder" at times. I checked my...

  30. 3320 will not start

I have a a 3340 doing the same thing. No electrical at all. Right now in Vermont, USA its still cold and tons of snow. I park it on hill and use the slope to start. Once started I keep it going. Sometimes when it first did this I tightened every connection I could find. I did not check the...
