This yoke is not built like that ,all 4 caps are press fit in ,no bolts to be able to remove.
  3. Replacing seal on 7245 drop box

Hi Need to replace the seal on the drop box on a 7245.I removed the drive shaft and removed the guard around the yoke on the dropbox and it appears that to get the yoke off there is a nut and cotter pin behind the universal joint. So how do I remove that ujoint while it is still in the tractor...
  4. Zetor 7245 won't move forward

Got it fixed ,turns out it is fairly common in the Zetors. Easy fix ,pull the tin cover that sits over the transmission .It is the cover that the shifting levers all come threw. Once off you will see [5] --17mm nuts with bolts threaded into them in a row in front of the housing where the 2...
  5. Zetor 7245 won't move forward

I thought it might be the brakes smoking as well ,but then why did the transmission problem appear at the same time bothers me. The high low gear box WORKS because when I go into reverse I tried High ,neutral and low and all 3 worked fine in reverse. With my tractor gear box is in LOW it will...
  6. Zetor 7245 won't move forward

The tractor will NOT go forward when you let out the clutch it acts like it is in 5th gear high range with the brakes on and labors the engine down tell it quits or you push the clutch back in.I was doing some LIGHT disking only going down 4 or 5 inches deep just to open up the soil a little...
  7. Cleaning centrifugal oil filter

What amazes me is I have never seen a diesel engine where the oil stays so clean. Most diesels turn the oil black within a few minutes of an oil change. The oil in my Zetor was still clean looking when I changed the oil and it had not been changed in 2 years.
  8. Cleaning centrifugal oil filter

OK I figured it out ,it is just a bunch of sludge that has built up ,I cleaned it up and put it back together making sure the scribe marks lined up.
  9. Cleaning centrifugal oil filter

Hi Just doing first oil change on this used 7245 since I bought it .It has the centrifugal oil filter. The manual describes how to take it apart and clean it.I have it apart and my question is there is a black oily[ THING] on the inside of the rotary portion that is sticking to the inside and is...
  10. 6341 fuel system leaks down and have to bleed if it sits overnight

I had a similar problem and it turnrd out it was the copper washer that connects the fuel supply to the glass bowl ,I found the leak by pumping the hand pump till it got hard and then pumped some more and saw little bubbles coming from the washer, I tryed to tighten it but it was tight so I...
  11. changing balls on the 3 point hitch lift arms

I have been using the bushings as well ,I also ended up grinding down the top link on the end that goes to the implements. The neighbor lent me a plow and I needed to bush the top link and the attach fittings ,not a big deal ,but the balls were to wide on my tractor and the narrow fitting on the...

THANKS Wonder what the easy change system they refer to is? That is what I'm looking for is the ability to change from the wider ball with the large center to the norrower ball with the smaller center then back again.

  14. changing balls on the 3 point hitch lift arms

Don't see any screws and heating the arm doesn't seem right, other makes of tractors you can turn them sideways and they will pop out ,other makes have a spring clip on one side to pop them out.
