did you check that you had the correct voltage approx. 14.5 V after changing the regulator. Check the diodes in the generator that regulate the magnetization winding.

Thank you for your reply.
My tractor is model 4340 1993. I presume that is the same box as in 5045 and 5245. The design is mor or less the same from 1980 have I been told.

The hose is pressed on the banjo joint. I belive you have to buy a premade hose with the banjos. It might be

the pump you have chosen seems to be a pump to be mounted very close to the tank and is a pressure and not a suction pump. check that it really sucks up enough fuel. I have in mind that the regular lifting pump gives about 16 psi but can remember wrong.
Do not know why the return hose affects the injection pump but was advised by a Finnish specialist on Zetor tractors. Air must not come into the injectionpump the backway espessial if the oneway valve in the pump is not 100%.
My electric pump stops when the pressure has built up and only pumps...
Not sure it will help your problem but replace the return hose from the ejectors back to the injection pump. Difficult to access behind the injection pump but it is possible. Also replace the hoses between the tops of the injectors that connect all four and then go to the injection pump. Has...
overpressure in the crankcase that can be caused by jammed or broken piston rings. There is a lot to read about this problem in this forum. the reason for jamming piston rings may be that the engine is never really works hard but runs too light.

At 6718 the tank is above the pump level but at 5340 the pump must suck up the fuel from a low level Your problem is that the fuel flows back to the tank due to that air leaks into the system. This is a classic problem on these models. Replace all hoses from the tank as these are originally of...
Bjarne is right but from my experiance air can be sucked in even if no diesel is leaking out. The glas bowle is critical and very hard to get tight. Do you se an airbubble in the bowle is it an indication that air is sucked in. From the symtome description I bet it is an air problem. Even the...
You can buy a kit to convert to a spin-on filter. In the kit there ia a new pressure valve. You have to replace the pressure valve sitting close to the oil pump in the engine oil sump. I bought my kit from atpmotor.cz
My experience is that the key switch is the weak link. Check if the instrument bulbs is lit normally. If you have a multimeter check if you have 12 V on the start button and if you press the button has 12 V on both poles. If yes, the fault lies in the lead from the startbutton to the starter...
Type 622 has a specific location for the poles. Not sure that Zetor sold in the US has the same type and location of the terminals. Measure the battery compartment and buy a battery suitable for 130 - 150 Ah and at least 900 CCA. Why not try an Optima. they are manufactured in US / Mexico and...
Battery type 622 can be delivered from 125 to 180 Ah and cca up to 1000. High CCA helps start in cold weather. Have a look at Exide Maxxima or Optima both with AGM technology.
In the manual it is recomended150Ah. If the winters is not so cold you can use a bit smaller. I use a Optima 50Ah with a cca 810A and it works fine in the Nordic winter.
If you have a multimeter messure the outgoing voltage from the alternator. If it is 14.1-14,4 the carging works. Messure the...
Lift the outside roof by loosing the two bolts in the front of the roof sides and tilt it up. Then you get access to the two fans and heater element as well as the slow speed resistors.

Two possible errors. If the generator slowly pulls out the battery when not in use the fault lies in one of the diodes in the generator. Also check the generator charcoal so they are not worn out or stuck. A new generator is relatively cheap today so replacing the diode bridge may not pay off.
Even if the thermostat is stucked in open position the gauge will move a bit after running the tractor for a while and the engine feels warm. This of cause if the meter and sensor works.
