Where is this rod located to adjust/shorten clutch master cylinder rod? Looks like a rod touches the back of the clutch petal then from there u can't even see the other end and the fluid reservoir is up high and to the right side under the hood. Where do I look? Thanks
Clutch engages close to the top..someone had mentioned possibly being able to adjust this some way where it will engage sooner..Can anyone advise me on this? Thanks
Thanks Alan--I did as you said and now it takes a firm pull on the lever before the pto disengage lever clicks into its up position..Now with the lever pulled up I can go to the pto with lift position without grinding gears--as soon as the disengage lever is lowered slightly the pto starts...
Alzet, the handle does seem to raise easy with very little actual effort but looking underneath it does move the L-shaped bracket that the cable connects to and the flat metal rod that extends forward-does not look like it could move it anymore.. I did take a wrench and put it over the end of...
Anybody know of an inspection plate that can be removed to see inside the clutch area--if so, where is it--on r/h side? l/h side --any chance the pto fingers can be adjusted without splitting the tractor? thanks
Thomas, how would I know if the fingers are set right or if the pto clutch is worn out? Is there some way to check this without splitting the tractor? Thanks
My pto is hard to get it i am having to play around with hand clutch its making alot of crateing sounds when trying can anyone help please
Karch this what you reported a week or so ago--any luck getting it fixed?? My 5211 does same thing.. Thanks for any info..
O.K. apparently nobody has ever had a problem like this-therefore nobody seems to know what to do..I really believe that the pto disengage lever is adjusted right and when pulled it is pushing the flat rod(that connects to the shaft sticking out the side of the bell housing) as far as it can go...
Start tractor with pto lever all the way forward-has lift and no pto like it should but try to go to pto with lift and gears grind and you cannot move the lever to pto with lift position..today did more checking--pulled pto disengage lever then underneath tractor tried to move the L-shaped lever...
Mambo, lowering the rpms and pulling the disengage lever sounds like yours is working right..That is what I'd like to accomplish.------------although, it is much handier on my old antique Ford to just press the clutch petal before engaging the pto lever. Thanks
ixero , I have tried different adjustments on the cable on the l/h side-it looks like if it is adjusted any more where it will(in theory) disengage more-then not sure what position it will return to--looks like the long spring underneath is returning to its full relaxed position when the...
Now PTO works -all the way forward have lift and no pto--up one notch and lifts with pto----problem is it grinds gears when trying to change positions of the pto lever....can put in all the way forward before cranking it but when you try to put it in the pto and lift spot it grinds--have to kill...
