there was a guy from near Kings Lynn selling the complete front of a 6718 in ebay a few weeks ago i had the 2 back wheels and tyres off him for 99p :D

on my 6718 you have to engage the pto handbrake and drop the engine revs before you attempt to change the pto selector

Renze. Is it ok to post photos like i have on my thread "Next query: 6718 compressor"? I see they are just about the only photos embeded in the threads, and i am wondering why.

here is inside pressure regulator full of sand/silt and gasket broken the filter screen has seen better days I have tried to locate a supplier for parts (gasket and filter screen) but no luck Can anyone help?

well i connected it up and engaged the compressor, i could hear the pump but nothing came out of the airline connection when i pressed in the non return valve with a screwdriver. so I stripped the base from the regulator and found a real mess :( i will post a photo tomorrow

Thank you for your help Bjarne my only concern now is why did the previous owner detach the pipe? was it because the pressure regulator was faulty? if so will i cause more damage if a attach this again? do you know the part number for the hose for inflating tyres?

Ah i see i do have a place under the regulator In the drivers manual it says remove butterfly nut and connect hose for tyre inflating in its place. I don't appear to have a butterfly nut If you look at this...

Yes Bjarne you are right 8) the nut has fallen down to the bottom. so i should be able to bring this pipe to the top and connect the 2 pipes with red arrows in the first photo, Yes?
